Since we've got your attention - just a heads up - things are  
progressing for MovieFest 2007, and we'll touch base in the new year  
with some more information on the dates and when we'll start  
accepting registrations. With no Moonlight Shorts in 2007 we're happy  
to give you an outlet in your movie making - and we're hoping to be  
able to offer a professional category - and a little bit more time to  
make your movies, even better.

We hope you're all winding down for the year, finishing exams and  
looking forward to Christmas! I won't remind you how many sleeps left.

If you've been hanging out to see the MovieFest entrants for 2006  
once again, watch this space - we've been slowly re-encoding them for  
the web (encoder funds are low), so you can catch them once again.   
The 2006 DVD with highlights of the awards (and even a 2 DVD set with  
all the 2006 finalist and more) should be available shortly also - if  
you want something to show your friends and family for Christmas, or  
something to get the class-mates prepped for a big 2007.

If you'd like to have some further feedback into MovieFest, it is all  
about you, the entrants and supporters - so do email, post or phone  
us with your ideas and thoughts into what we can do to serve the New  
Zealand hobbyist movie scene even better.

So as 2006 draws to a close, a big thanks to you all for being part  
of MovieFest 2006 (and some of you since 2002), and an especially big  
thanks to our entrants and key sponsors: Panavision, Apple division  
of Renaissance, Amstore, MagnumMac, Imaging Technology, Time Cinema,  
WaiMac, Katipo -- and many more!
