Hi Phillipa!

Generally the most recent information on MovieFest is in our Forums
or Mailing lists - these can be accessed off the website at:
  http://MovieFest.org.nz/lists and http://MovieFest.org.nz/forums
-- i'd encourage you to browse the archives of the announcements list
- and feel free to join the email list to get the latest news.

I will reserve seats for you and the team for the awards. We have a
number of invites - but generally entry is by donation at the door.
We are on a very limited budget for the venue unfortunately - so any
donating Wellingtionians you manage to drag into the theatre on the
day will be gratefully received. ;)

There are two sets of screenings of the finalist movies - one
starting at 10am, and the other at 1pm on Saturday the 30th in the
Illot Theatre, Wellington Town Hall, 111 Wakefield St. Interspersed
in the gaps in the programme, we'll also be running on-demand
screenings of non-finalist entries - such as "The Traitor" from the
other team at the school.

The awards ceremony starts from 4:30 pm - and lasts about 90
minutes. The format will generally be presentation of the three
category prizes one by one - interspersed with entertainment and
speakers.

We'll be at the theatre from about 8am for setup, and there is a cash
bar for refreshments and limited seating in the foyer to wait/meet
other MovieFest entrants. I'll probably be in a bright yellow shirt
-- looking something like this:

I'm also trying to organise a bit of dinner after the ceremony - if
people want to come along and talk further about MovieFest
experiences with the organisers.

It'll be great to meet you and talk with the kids also, If you need
anything - just email me on jo at MovieFest.org.nz or try my cell on
021 JBOOTH (021 526684). Let me know your travel plans and we can
try to help with transport if needed. From the airport there is a
City bus that stops just up the road from the theatre, and you can
walk form the railway station/ferry if you're keen to see the city on
your way ;)

Hope you enjoy the trip up - we really appreciate it's difficult to
finance a trip, and would like to say a huge thanks for supporting
MovieFest by coming up - and by letting your kids make such great
movies! Best wishes for winning the major prizes!

-Jo.
